Laura Costa is originally from southeastern Michigan. She has been a practicing audiologist for over 25 years, most recently joining the team at Kenwood Hearing Center in 2021. Laura received her Bachelor of Science degree from Western Michigan University in 1992 and her Master of Arts degree, also from Western Michigan University, in 1996.
During her career, Laura has worked as a clinical audiologist in small private practices, as well as with larger organizations. She enjoys helping people of all ages and abilities communicate better by achieving the best hearing solution for them through the use of amplification, assistive listening devices, aural rehabilitation and counseling. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and is licensed as an audiologist in Michigan and Ohio.
When not helping people hear better, Laura enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She lives on her small family farm, caring for livestock and helping to raise homegrown food for her family. She especially enjoys riding her horse, both on trails and in local rodeos. Laura is active in the 4-H community with her youngest daughter, as well as her local Special Olympics chapter and other organizations for people with disabilities.

Stephen Shoupe grew up in Toledo/Holland, Ohio. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business/Marketing from Bluffton University in 1993. Stephen has been a State of Ohio-licensed Hearing Aid Specialist/Fitter since 2009. His career in hearing healthcare began after an extended conversation with a well-respected member of the audiology community. Stephen had long been involved in various positions helping people, so this was a natural transition. He brought his extensive experience assessing and treating hearing issues to Kenwood Hearing Center, now a HearingLife Company, in 2021.
Stephen currently lives in Perrysburg, Ohio, with his fiancée and two dogs. When not helping people hear better, he enjoys traveling, time with friends and family or just spending a quiet night at home watching sports, especially football.
